These Terms govern your use of the CurryMate mobile app and related services ("the Service"). By using CurryMate you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
CurryMate suggests Indian home recipes and meal plans based on ingredients and preferences you provide, helps you track a pantry, alerts you to items expiring soon, lets you scan grocery receipts to add items, and includes community features that let you join groups and share recipes, comments and cooking results with other members. Recipes and nutrition figures are AI-generated estimates.
You must be at least 13 (or the minimum age in your country) to use CurryMate. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account.
Do not misuse the Service: no unlawful use, no attempts to break, overload, or reverse-engineer it, no scraping or automated abuse, and no uploading of content you have no right to use. We may rate-limit, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
CurryMate's community features let you post content — including recipe comments and replies, "Made it" photos and notes, group names, descriptions and tags, and recipes you choose to share to a group ("User Content").
You keep ownership of your User Content. By posting it, you grant CurryMate a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display and distribute that content within the Service for the purpose of operating, moderating and improving it. You are solely responsible for your User Content and confirm you have the rights to post it.
There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. You must not post, share or transmit content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, bullying, threatening, defamatory, obscene, sexually explicit, violent, that infringes anyone's intellectual-property or privacy rights, that endangers any person — especially minors — or that is spam, a scam, or off-topic promotion. You must not impersonate others or harass, abuse, or harm other members.
Moderation, reporting and blocking. User Content is automatically screened before it is published, and you can report any post or comment using the "···" menu and block other members so their content is hidden from you. We review reports and act on violations — removing content and suspending or ejecting offending users — and we aim to do so within 24 hours of a valid report. We may remove any User Content and suspend or terminate any account at our discretion to enforce these Terms, with or without notice. See our in-app Community Guidelines (Groups → Guidelines) for the full conduct rules.
Recipes, cooking times, shelf-life estimates, expiry alerts and nutrition information are AI-generated guidance, not professional advice. Always use your own judgement for food freshness, allergies, hygiene, and safe cooking temperatures. CurryMate is not a substitute for medical, dietary, or food-safety advice. Do not rely on the app for decisions affecting allergies or health conditions.
CurryMate offers an optional premium subscription. On iOS and Android, subscriptions are sold and billed through the Apple App Store and Google Play respectively, and are subject to their terms. Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel renewal in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Except where required by law or store policy, payments are non-refundable; refund requests are handled by the respective app store.
The Service, including its software, design, and branding, belongs to CurryMate. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app. Recipe outputs generated for you may be used for your personal, non-commercial cooking.
The Service relies on third parties (including Google Firebase, OpenAI, Google Cloud, RevenueCat, and the app stores). Their terms and availability may affect the Service. See our Privacy Policy for how data is shared.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that recipes will suit your needs or tastes.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CurryMate is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any food spoilage, allergic reaction, illness, or loss arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.
We may modify or discontinue features, and may update these Terms; continued use after changes means you accept them. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the courts of India, except where local consumer law gives you other rights.
